Personal life
Born on December 6, 1988, in a Gujarati Rajput Hindu family in Navagam Ghed town of Jamnagar district of Gujarat, Ravindra Jadeja’s journey to cricket stardom was anything but conventional. His father Anirudh worked as a watchman in a private security agency and wanted his son to pursue a career in the army. Although a young Jadeja had his heart set on cricket, he still had a childhood fear of disobeying his father’s wishes.
In 2005, tragedy struck the family when Jadeja’s mother Lata met with a fatal accident. His untimely death almost forced him to give up the sport he loved. Jadeja has a sister named Naina, who has chosen a career as a nurse. Today he lives in Jamnagar.
In 2016, Ravindra Jadeja married politician Rivaba Jadeja, marking an important milestone in his personal life. The couple welcomed their daughter in June 2017, adding a new chapter to their journey. Jadeja’s life story is a testament to resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
