• The Melbourne Stars stand tall as a prominent cricket team in Australia’s vibrant sporting landscape. Formed as a Twenty20 franchise, they symbolize the heart of cricketing excellence in Melbourne, Victoria.
• Meet the Melbourne Stars’ lively mascots, Stratton and Starlet! During BBL|05, the Stars unveiled another mascot named Steven Seagal. The idea came about after a memorable incident in BBL|04 when a cricket ball from Perth Scorchers’ Adam Voges was accidentally hit by a seagull during a match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
• Stars player Rob Quinney was the first to care for the bird and feared evil as it lay motionless. He carefully carried it across the boundary line and placed it on the turf. Amazingly, after a few moments, the seagull came back to life, much to the delight of the crowd at the MCG. This heartwarming event led to the creation of Steven Seagal, adding another beloved mascot to the Melbourne Stars family.
• Established to compete in Australia’s prestigious Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League (BBL). The Melbourne Stars have made their mark as an integral part of this exciting tournament. His presence on the field arouses excitement among the fans, displaying exciting cricketing skills and unwavering team spirit.
